Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic rehabilitation team at Human Touch Rehab Center, located in Ramsey, New Jersey. This full-time position is centered on delivering personalized, hands-on care within our outpatient office, focusing on helping patients regain mobility and enhance their quality of life following orthopedic injuries and surgeries.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a vibrant outpatient office setting, where they will interact daily with a diverse group of patients undergoing physical rehabilitation. The hours for this full-time position are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule conducive to work-life balance. Our outpatient offices are equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities, designed to support effective therapy and enhance patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will take ownership of the following duties:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans based on the assessments, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to facilitate effective recovery.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting treatments accurately using our electronic medical record system (WebPT preferred).
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create an integrated approach to patient care, ensuring all aspects of a patient's rehabilitation are considered.
• Educate patients and their families on various aspects of recovery, including home exercises, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role centers around patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including those with musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain syndromes. The clinic's patient demographic encompasses a wide range of age groups, enabling the therapist to employ diverse therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique challenges presented by each individual.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedics.
• Proficient in the use of manual therapy techniques and familiar with electronic medical records systems, with a preference for experience using WebPT.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with additional certifications in specialties related to orthopedic physical therapy, such as dry needling or therapeutic taping, will be highly regarded. Experience working with a diverse patient population and familiarity with multidisciplinary care teams will enhance the candidate's effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
