Work Environment

As an onsite clinic located within a hospital, our outpatient facility provides all necessary resources for effective patient management in a supportive environment. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured schedule that allows you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care without the hustle of weekend shifts. You will work closely with an experienced team of physical therapists and support staff who are committed to fostering a motivating atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

• Implement and deliver therapeutic interventions as outlined in the physical therapist's plan of care, using evidence-based practices.
• Guide patients through exercises and functional activities while ensuring they perform movements correctly to prevent injury.
• Monitor patients' safety, progression, and adherence to prescribed techniques during treatment sessions, providing immediate feedback as needed.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effective communication among the care team.
• Report significant changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment to the supervising PT promptly.
• Foster a supportive, positive environment that encourages patients of various ages and abilities to engage actively in their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including post-surgical patients, athletes recovering from injuries, and individuals engaged in active aging. Your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation will help you address specific needs related to musculoskeletal injuries and mobility challenges, allowing you to tailor your approach to maximize patient healing and satisfaction. This role necessitates adaptability and proficiency in effective communication to meet the unique requirements of each patient.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey.
• A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited PTA program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• A genuine passion for rehabilitation, sports medicine, and active patient care.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

• At least 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, though new graduates are welcomed and encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as WebPT, NetHealth, or Fusion for efficient documentation.
• Interest in manual therapy techniques, performance training, or wellness program development.
• A background in dealing with a range of patient demographics, including post-surgical patients and older adults.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging between $85,000 to $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
