Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite within a state-of-the-art hospital setting in Paramus, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
• Administering therapeutic modalities and interventions in accordance with established protocols and patient care plans.
• Instructing patients on designated exercises, mobility practices, activities of daily living, and the proper use of adaptive and assistive devices.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and relevant updates to ensure quality care standards.
• Recognizing and communicating patient needs for further evaluation or adjustment of treatment to the supervising physical therapist.
• Participating in professional development by attending in-services, workshops, and continuing education programs to enhance your knowledge and skills.
• Assisting in the referral and coordination of additional services for patients as necessary.
• Performing any other related duties to support the team and ensure patient care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from various musculoskeletal issues, post-surgical rehabilitation, and those needing assistance in regaining functional mobility. You'll work closely with a diverse population that includes young adults, seniors, and active individuals aiming to return to their daily routines.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program, leading to an Associate degree.
• A current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of New Jersey.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering effective communication and teamwork within a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience
