Key Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on improving patients' strength, endurance, balance, and mobility.
• Assist patients in executing daily activities and therapeutic exercises tailored to their individual recovery needs to promote independence.
• Accurately document therapy sessions, tracking patients' progress while communicating any changes in their condition to the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe movement techniques and personalized home exercise programs designed to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration of care and optimize patient recovery outcomes.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust strategies as needed to align with overall rehabilitation goals.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss individual patient cases and contribute to the development of best practices within the department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Mend Force Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgical interventions, traumatic injuries, or managing chronic health conditions. This role emphasizes a tailored approach to rehabilitation, allowing you to impact each patient's journey to recovery personally and significantly.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of New Jersey, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Basic proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred to facilitate accurate documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a hospital, outpatient therapy, or skilled nursing setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation is a plus but not a requirement.
• CPR and First Aid certification, along with any additional specialist certifications, particularly in geriatrics, is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
