Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art facility within a hospital setting, providing an excellent environment for therapeutic practices and patient interactions. Working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a structured schedule that complements a well-balanced professional and personal life. Apart from liaising with our compassionate team members, you will also collaborate with various healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive and cohesive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement therapy programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Assist in administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular reeducation, and other modalities as directed by the supervising PT.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, responses, and progress, using our integrated electronic medical records (EMR) system for streamlined communication and compliance.
• Educate patients on proper techniques, body mechanics, and home exercise programs to facilitate safe recovery and maintain progress between therapy sessions.
• Participate in regular discussions with physical therapists and healthcare providers to adapt treatment plans in response to patient progress and needs.
• Monitor and document changes in patient conditions, effectively communicating any significant updates to physicians and families for coordinated care.

Our clinic primarily serves individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, and sports-related injuries. You will work with a diverse population, including active individuals, athletes, and patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, ideally followed by completion of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensure: A current and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license is mandatory for this position.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong time management, and a collaborative mindset are essential for effective teamwork and patient engagement.
• Certifications: Candidates must hold a valid CPR certification or be willing to obtain one prior to starting.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, although recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience with patient assessments, treatment planning, and various rehabilitation modalities will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: Competitive compensation is offered, ranging between $60,000 and $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
