The Schedule Manager is responsible for gathering data as well as establishing and maintaining a Project Master Schedule for an Army Aviation Acquisition Program utilizing Primavera.Summary of duties include but are not limited to:Coordinate and align inputs from participating groups and obtain monthly progress updates for consolidation into the master schedulesAnalyze and assess schedules to ensure proper structure, complete network logic, are capable of reporting critical paths, and adherence to industry best practicesPerform schedule trend analysis, including baseline vs current, margin assessment, cost/schedule risk assessments, duration compression, and overall health checksTrack schedule progress and develop custom reports, metrics, and performance assessmentsIdentify and report critical paths, critical activities, and their impactsProvide guidance on schedule work-arounds, recovery plans, "what if" scenarios, and decision supportIntegrate cost and schedule to ensure realistic and achievable budget and resource requirementsAssess impacts of cost, schedule, or technical baseline changesUpdate project status, variances, and required actions at specified intervalsObtain updates from participating groups monthly progress updates to schedule activities and consolidate into the project master scheduleReport the project status to the Stakeholders and develop "what if" scenarios and recovery plans as neededMaintain and operate the change control process and participate in change control process/boardsParticipate in change control boards and other meetings as required to ensure proper resource planning and forecastingSupport Risk Management and oversee schedule-related mitigation and avoidance actionsParticipate in the Risk Management process and manage schedule related mitigation and avoidance actionsConduct Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting, monitoring, and preparation of Estimates at Completion (EACs)Analyze performance data and prepare written and verbal management reports on cost and schedule variancesConduct weekly IMS reviewsAnalyze performance data and prepare Estimates at Completion (EACs)Prepare written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variancesSupport the annual PPBE process and provide expert guidance on integrated scheduling toolsReport project status to stakeholders and validate that remedial actions meet customer requirementsRequired Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:Must be fully trained/experienced in Primavera as a scheduling tool8 years of experience in developing and executing Master Schedules for acquisition programsMust be experienced in EVM and establishing EACsExperience in managing life cycle support strategies and the required acquisition documentationKnowledge and experience managing, planning, and executing complex projectsAbility to support complex acquisition development projectsWork effectively with others and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyTeamwork focused on conducting studies, logistics and technical projects, or problem resolutionStrong interpersonal relation skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationExpert level of familiarity with Microsoft Office productsPreferred Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/IT Skills/Certifications:Expert user of PrimaveraWork Environment:The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environmentPhysical Environment/Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of timeMust be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of timeOther:Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements.
