Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized speech-language therapy services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and improve functional outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing functions using standardized assessments.
Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical observations.
Document diagnosis, treatment interventions, and patient responses in compliance with regulatory standards.
Communicate regularly with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding progress and treatment strategies.
Provide counseling and education to patients and their families to facilitate recovery and manage expectations.
Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed.

Qualifications:

Hold active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Missouri.
Be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with CCC-SLP.
Possess a minimum of 1 year of speech therapy experience; new graduates with Level II experience accepted.
Demonstrate experience in LTC or rehabilitation settings.
Maintain adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, ethics, and code of conduct.
Have strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
