Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans that meet regulatory and clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' communication, cognitive, and swallowing functions using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical evaluation.
• Document all clinical interventions, patient responses, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment progress and challenges.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and caregivers about speech disorders and therapy goals.
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure quality care and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Hold active Missouri State Licensure and CCC certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience, with new graduates considered if they have Level II experience.
• Have LTC or rehab experience preferred.
• Demonstrate adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics.
• Be capable of obtaining necessary DME or supplies per clinical requirements.
• Be willing to support supervision of junior clinicians and participate in required training and meetings.
