About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Advanced skills needed BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with employees. Unit includes a total of 30 beds, currently operating with 18 beds due to renovations. Patient ratios are 6-7 patients per nurse. Team nursing approach is utilized with tech support available. Documentation system used is Meditech. Traveler must work four weekend shifts every four-week scheduling period. Floating to like units may be required based on needs. Must perform hourly safety rounds and conduct bedside shift reports with patients. Supportive management and teamwork are emphasized. Additional resources and technology are available to staff. There are numerous aquatic activities and cultural sites in the area. A strong work-life balance is promoted.
