This individual will work closely with business verticals to provide proactive, business-oriented counsel, often directing intellectual property, product development, and litigation strategies. This individual will report directly into the Chief Legal Officer, ensuring smooth workflows and efficient operations of the Legal team. Responsibilities:Act as the lead legal partner for business units, advising on product development, technology, and commercial strategyNegotiate and draft complex commercial, technology, and licensing agreementsMonitor regulatory changes, ensure compliance, and develop internal policies to mitigate riskManage IP portfolios, data protection, and privacy issuesCoordinate with outside law firms for litigation and specific, high-stakes mattersProvide guidance to junior legal team members and influence cross-group projectsRequirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction7+ years of legal experience from either a law firm or in-house organizationProficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis), case management software, and document management systemsCome and join our Sparkling team!
