CORPORATE INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS ENGINEER If you'd rather develop the molding process than spend every day chasing the same production problems, this is worth a look. A growing multi-site plastics manufacturer is building out its Corporate Process Engineering team and needs engineers who know injection molding, enjoy being on the floor, and want a hand in creating how process engineering is done across the organization. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS The company is growing, adding programs, and building a stronger technical structure around injection molding. Instead of walking into a mature organization where every procedure has already been written, you'll help establish scientific molding practices, develop new processes, support launches, and create standards that can be carried across multiple plants. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Develop injection molding processes for new molds and programs. Lead mold trials, process development, troubleshooting, and launch support. Apply scientific molding principles to establish repeatable processing windows. Work directly with tooling, automation, plant engineering, technicians, and operations. Support equipment ranging from approximately 100 to 4,000 tons across the broader network. Establish a stable process and hand it off to the plant team with the knowledge needed to sustain it. Travel to other facilities and tool trials when launches require additional technical support. Help build common process engineering practices across a growing manufacturing organization. WHAT STRONG CANDIDATES LOOKS LIKE 3+ years of hands-on injection molding/process engineering experience can be enough if you've had strong technical exposure. Comfortable developing processes rather than simply monitoring existing ones. Scientific molding experience or strong formal molding training. Experience with new molds, tool trials, launches, process optimization, or troubleshooting. Comfortable working directly on presses and alongside plant personnel. Able to operate independently without needing a large-company procedure for every situation. Willing to travel based on launches and regional coverage requirements. Interested in building something and growing with the organization. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Compensation has flexibility based on experience, technical depth, location, and travel requirements. Generally targeting a range of $80-$110K. A highly capable engineer taking on significant multi-plant travel can command substantially more. Competitive benefits package. WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT Not a desk-only engineering position. Not a role where every process and procedure has already been established. Not simply babysitting existing production processes.
