This Work from Home position requires that you live and will perform the duties of the position; within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (Our hospitals are located in the following states: FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA).

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medicaid Support Specialist serves as support in the areas of reporting, patient account review/update, correspondence management, call cycle, data entry, patient pre-screening assessment and other clerical duties. The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for affecting ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency by applying a proactive approach to all daily operational duties.

What You Will Do in this Role:

• May answer/transfer daily inbound calls and forward voice mails to appropriate staff or place outbound calls
• May complete patient pre-screening assessments
• May process daily incoming mail by scanning documents (onsite), distribute via email, shared drives or upload copy to electronic storage application
• May process daily outgoing Standard/ Overnight/Certified Mail shipments via FedEx/USPS (onsite) or Diamond
• May manually enter accounts in Parallon Medicaid Eligibility tool (PME)
• May assemble/provide reports to clients
• May obtain medical records from various applications or optimize existing records
• May process incoming shipments from facilities, containing physical files (onsite)
• Promote and maintain harmonious and effective relationships and communications with other departments and clients
• Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the office. Covers and assists with other office functions as requested
• Communicate issues and project status to management as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year related experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Relevant education may substitute experience requirement.
