Job Description

The Laboratory Tech plays a vital role in supporting laboratory operations by maintaining equipment, ensuring data accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols. Working within a small team of 1-5 members, this position requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality control to assist with efficient specimen handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning
Record accurate data and maintain logs for laboratory activities
Conduct quality control checks to uphold laboratory standards
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
Manage and monitor inventory of laboratory supplies
Prepare reports summarizing laboratory findings and activities
Handle specimens carefully, ensuring integrity and proper labeling

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in laboratory techniques
High school diploma or GED
Understanding of quality assurance processes
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in data entry
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to work well within a team environment
