Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring cardiac experience and MA licensure, working nights on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Float pool position based out of the McCann unit, covering MS/Tele and Telemetry units as needed
• Patient population includes medical, surgical, and observation cases across multiple units
• Travelers may be assigned to two different units within a single 12-hour shift based on census and staffing needs
• Float pool staffing is determined during bed meetings based on unit needs
• The Avasure video monitoring system is used to remotely observe up to 12 patients simultaneously
• Charting is done in Cerner
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend coverage required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2–3 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic or Cerner EMR required

Additional Information

• Float pool team includes RNs, PCAs, and OAs
• Must be available to relieve the Avasure monitoring station operator for breaks and meals as needed
• First-time travelers with qualifying experience are welcome to apply
