PT Physical Therapist AssistantEmerald Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The PTA will work closely with our physical therapists and nursing staff to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to our residents. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis.This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.Responsibilities:Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on patients' needs and progress. Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed.Assessment & Documentation: Collect and document patient data, including progress notes, treatment outcomes, and responses to therapy. Report any changes in patients' conditions to the physical therapist.Education & Support: Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, equipment uses, and strategies for enhancing functional independence. Offer guidance on home exercise programs and preventive care.Equipment Management: Set up and maintain therapeutic equipment and assist patients with the use of therapeutic devices and aids.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.Compliance & Safety: Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.Qualifications:Education: Associate's degree in physical therapy Assisting from an accredited program.Licensure: Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Omaha, NE.Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred but not required.Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide compassionate patient care.Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation purposes.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move patients, perform physical tasks, and handle equipment as required for therapy sessions.Benefits:Benefit EligiblePaid Sick Leave
