By applying, you are expressing interest in being considered for future openings that align with your qualifications & experience, as business needs arise.2 Year Earning Potential Based on Continuous Learning Progression Pay6 Months - $23.97/hr.12 Months- $24.77/hr.24 Months- $25.56/hr.Job ResponsibilitiesAbility to safely operate production equipment.Verify and ensure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.Discharging blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.Following specified customer sampling requirements of blended product.Filling out of daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance.Cleaning and sanitizing the production equipment and tools, including work area.Disposal of trash and garbage containers.Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the shiftSupporting British Retail Consortium (BRC) audit requirements, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards.QualificationsAbility to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shiftAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently, including the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; and the ability to communicate with individuals and small groups.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Working knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or RedZone or similar.Working overtime as needed throughout the week, up to and including Saturday work.Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shiftComfortable working with and around allergens and cleaning chemicalsMust be able to work onsite in Alsip, Illinois locationCandidates must currently be at least 18 years of age AND possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.What Will Set You ApartHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)3 months of experience and/or training in a USDA regulated manufacturing environmentExperience operating mixing or blending equipment.Familiarity with food safety requirements.Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and RedZone ERP software.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Safely navigate stairs and laddersEnvironmental ConcernsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is required in designated areas.
