Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2350 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have 2 or more years of experience working in PICU and/or Level 4 or greater NICU.

Required Credentials:
Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP for NICU.

Unit Details:
Patient population includes pediatric and neonatal patients.
Covers NICU or PICU.
There are 20-25 treatments per day.
Duties include all aspects of respiratory care, including Aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, airway management, and intrahospital transport; equipment includes Hamilton and Servo ventilators, Respironics and Hamilton BiPAP, and Fisher Paykel HFNC.
RTs assist with intubation only; independent intubation is not required.
A hospitalist or intensivist is in house.

Shift & Scheduling:
Preference scheduling is permitted with a commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; weekend shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Holidays as scheduled.
No call.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver's license required for submission
