About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty License: Required RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required. Vent and transplant experience required. Description: Evening/Night shifts, working from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. The traveler will work in both IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and IMC Thoracic unit. Must be willing to work on December 24 and December 25, requests off for this holiday will not be approved. Telemetry testing is required prior to being cleared to start. Staffing ratios are 1:4 for general care and 1:2 for IMC. The unit provides care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and a variety of medical diagnoses. The nurse will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, advocating for quality patient care. Experience in an academic Level I or II trauma center or a similar-sized hospital is mandatory. Critical thinking and teamwork skills are essential in this fast-paced environment. The traveler will be required to float as needed. Pass/Fail testing will be required with strict passing criteria related to telemetry rhythms. Two attempts are allowed to pass the telemetry exam before further requirements are implemented. Failure to pass after multiple attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
