About the Role As a Copywriter, you’ll be part of a nimble creative team for a California‑based retail account. You’ll deliver primarily social media creative that speaks the language of trends and culture, help drive brand awareness, shift perception, and produce results. You’ll work with conceptual creatives, makers, content creators, strategists, and account services to see creative development through from ideation to execution. The ideal candidate is decisive, capable of generating a range of options, and can think under tight deadlines with a high caliber of craft. Responsibilities Creative conception, ideation, and brainstorming in both English and Spanish with other team members Execution and production of final creative assets such as static digital ads and video content Participating in client meetings, occasionally presenting your work in both English and Spanish, and listening to and ingesting client feedback Contributing to the storytelling of presentation decks and key visuals Providing a POV and guidance during the internal and external production of video assets, including attending shoots, preparing pre‑production materials, capturing social content, and creating digital motion and animation content Assisting with the execution of primarily social ad campaigns, with the ability to flex into traditional advertising and other digital marketing asks as necessary Organizing and managing creative production in collaboration with Project Managers Tracking and reporting weekly hours to help ensure projects are managed properly About You The essentials: 3‑5 years of experience as a copywriter in a conceptual role, preferably in an agency environment Based in LA or within a commutable distance Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to write, converse, and present in both languages Proficiency in creative and productivity tools, including generative AI platforms and Google Suite (especially Google Slides) Curious, dependable, and flexible, capable of driving work forward with light supervision Self‑motivated, able to work collaboratively and independently to manage concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment Open to receiving and processing constructive feedback, and applying it thoughtfully with a solutions‑oriented mindset Not a must, but a plus: Knowledge and experience working in Figma Prior experience working on retail clients Experience creating both paid and organic social creative Experience working in a nimble content creation environment What We Offer Excellent, full coverage medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous PTO and 15 company‑wide holidays 401(k) with company contribution Paid parental leave Work‑life balance with an emphasis on personal well‑being Career growth in a disruptor space and entrepreneurial opportunities within the Monks network A globally diverse & inclusive culture with employee resource groups such as S4 Melanin, Pride.Monks, Cultura.Monks, and more Authentic commitment to DEI efforts and sustainable growth Salary Range: $70,000—$85,000 USD We are an equal‑opportunity employer committed to building a respectful and empowering work environment for all people, free to express themselves and celebrate diverse perspectives.
