Position Summary The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional service to personal insurance clients while managing a book of business that includes homeowners, automobile, umbrella, recreational vehicle, and other personal insurance accounts. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients by providing coverage guidance, handling day-to-day service needs, marketing and rating accounts with multiple carriers, and ensuring accurate documentation within the agency management system. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in personal insurance coverages, carrier systems, and agency operations. Key Responsibilities Client Service & Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for personal lines clients. Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication. Review client insurance programs and identify coverage gaps, changes in exposure, and cross-selling opportunities. Provide clients with coverage recommendations and explain policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and endorsements. Renewals & Policy Servicing Manage the personal lines renewal process from start to finish. Review renewal terms and identify opportunities for improved coverage or pricing. Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, reinstatements, and rewrites Handle billing inquiries and assist clients with policy-related questions. Ensure all client requests are completed accurately and within established service standards. Rate new and renewal business with multiple personal lines carriers Prepare and present comparative coverage and pricing options to clients. Communicate directly with carrier representatives to obtain quotes, resolve issues, and negotiate coverage solutions. Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and stay informed on carrier appetite, products, and underwriting guidelines. Documentation & Compliance Maintain complete and accurate electronic client files Document all client interactions, activities, and policy transactions in Applied Epic Follow agency workflows, procedures, and compliance requirements Ensure that all documentation meets agency standards and E&O best practices Work collaboratively with other Account Managers, Producers, Customer Service Representatives, and leadership Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and agency initiatives Support a positive, client-focused culture that emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement What’s in It for You Unlimited PTO Life Insurance Paid Holidays 401K Hybrid work model (4 days in office until training is complete then 2 days after training) Requirements Qualifications Minimum 5 years of Personal Lines insurance experience in an independent agency or brokerage environment. Strong knowledge of personal insurance coverages including Homeowners, Automobile, Umbrella, Dwelling Fire, Flood, and Recreational Vehicles Experience rating and quoting with multiple insurance carriers Proficiency with Applied Epic Agency Management System Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Active Property & Casualty Producer License (Illinois or ability to obtain immediately) Preffered CISR, CIC, or other insurance designations Experience working in a fast-paced independent agency environment Client Focused Communication Skills Organization and Time Management Accuracy and Attention to Detail Problem Solving Teamwork and Collabration Insurance Coverage Knowledge Adaptability and Continuous Learning Success Measures High client retention and satisfaction levels Timely completion of service requests and renewalsAccurate policy documentation and maintenance of agency files Consistent adherence to agency workflows and compliance standards Effective marketing and placement of business with appropriate carriers Positive relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members #J-18808-Ljbffr GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY
