Job Summary The Case Manager reports to the University Associate Dean forStudent Affairs. The incumbent is an integral member of the studentaffairs team and is responsible for the administration of thestudents of concern reports. Serves as case manager, monitoringincoming cases, their progression, and completionofaction plansand/or post-adjudication follow‑up. Handles intake of select casesof alleged conduct violations. Oversees weekly meeting of Care Teamto address student of concern reports. Prepares statistical reportsof students of concern and analyze results. In collaboration withAssociate Dean and other Dean of Students staff members, theCase Managerwill develop and implement an assessment program. Acts as aresource to students, faculty, and staff regarding the operation ofthe students of concern policies and procedures.The incumbent isrequired to be accessible to students PRINCIPAL DUTIES Serves as primary resource for managing student issues relatedto students of concern reports. Responds to walk‑in, phone, or viavideo conference requests for student advocacy. Implements andmanages a case management system to coordinate, facilitate, andmonitor programs and services available to distressed students.Provides initial intake and response/referral by phone, videoconference and/or in person for those connecting with theAssociateDeanfor follow up, as needed. Oversees weekly Care Team meeting. The Care Team consists ofstaff fromvarious departments who receive student of concernreports and create response and action plans to meet needsofstudents. Maintains comprehensive overview of students in distress bycollecting, evaluating, and recording pertinent facts pertaining tothestudentcase. Coordinates followed up and trackingof students in distress aswell as students going throughthe conduct process. Oversees record keeping process for students in distress. Assists in management of cases within Maxient. Assists the Associate Dean in the compilation and distributionof campus and community resources available to students in distressand/or need. Updates and distributes Red Folder to campuscommunity. Provides crisis intervention for students with immediatedefinable needs such as shelter, food, financial aid, andmedication control. Formulates and coordinates interventions to minimize and/orresolve student problems. Develops and presents workshops and training programs thatassist University staff and faculty in dealing with problemsituations involving students. Performs general office duties, including answering phones,using good customer service, greeting students, parents, families,faculty, staff, alumni, guests, and visitors, schedulingappointments, preparing materials, filing, and processing incomingand outcoming correspondence, as needed in support of the Dean ofstudents office. Coordinates and implements ongoing training opportunities forstaff and faculty regarding Care and BIT team protocols, conductspolicy and process, and Title IX reporting procedures and followup. Assists with the processing of withdrawals and leave ofabsences for undergraduate students. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling,Psychology, or other appropriate field of study required. A minimum of 1‑2 years related student affairs, education, orsocial work experience which may include graduate assistantshipexperience. Strong administrative and operations management skills. Strong oral and written communications and interpersonalskills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population ofstudents, faculty, staff, and administrators. Willing and able to work non‑standard hours as required,including evenings and weekends. Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom. Previous experience using Word, Adobe, Excel, and basic computerprograms. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services, Higher EducationAdministration, Social Work, or related field BilingualinbothEnglishandSpanish Maxient and Colleagueexperiencepreferred.
