CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description An employer seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong focus on lathe operations to join their in‑house machine shop. This is a low‑volume, rapid prototyping environment, not a production floor, where the machinist will be expected to set up tooling, run jobs, and perform some CAM programming. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, experienced machinist who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, innovative environment and can operate with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines (Haas equipment) Perform tooling setup, work offset probing, and fixture setup Execute low‑volume, rapid prototype machining runs Write basic CAM programs as needed to support machining operations Perform manual machining tasks for quick fixes and small adjustments Troubleshoot machining issues and apply sequencing strategies for operations Collaborate with the CAM programmer and engineering team on part production Maintain quality and safety standards throughout all machining work This role is onsite 5 days a week and relocation can be provided for out of state.
