Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 13-bed Medical/Surgical Bariatric/Colorectal Surgical unit
• Care for post-operative bariatric and colorectal surgical patients as well as general medical/surgical patients
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with a small, close-knit interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the night shift

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted New York State RN License
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with bariatric and/or colorectal post-operative patient populations
• Familiarity with surgical unit workflows and post-op care protocols
