Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Overview You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and serve as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self‑exclusion Conduct medical history interviews and acceptability assessments Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs Implement the SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities Provide guidance to donors and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary for medical or technical issues Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements through occupational health/ER procedures Assist as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and a recognized nursing program with state requirements, or graduate equivalent Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state where duties are assigned Current CPR and AED certification State‑level certification for basic IV therapy Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting Familiarity with plasma collection industry regulations or a manufacturing environment Compensation & Benefits Location: USA - TX - Denton Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 - $45.98 (subject to qualifications and experience) The position offers medical/dental coverage, paid time off, retirement benefits, and other standard benefits for U.S. employees, including eligibility for short‑term incentives and a tuition reimbursement program.
