Light Duty Truck Mechanic

Job Description: This role will complete repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet of American made light trucks and cars at company headquarters located in Rogers, MN. Daytime hours, full benefit package including medical, dental, 401k with company match, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and more! A Day in the Life Performs preventative maintenance to light vehicle fleet including trailers. Diagnoses engine, mechanical, and fuel system issues on vehicles including engines, drive train components, and electrical systems. Utilizes computer systems to diagnose issues on vehicles. Utilizes tools for repair and maintenance of all systems. Repair brake and steering systems Repair/replace Engines and Transmissions Utilizes HCSS e360 to submit work orders, accurately document repairs and vehicle history, etc. Involved with maintaining a clean and safe shop environment. Keeps supervisor informed of known actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect Company operations. Other projects or duties as assigned by management. What You'll Need Minimum of 3 years’ experience diagnosing and completing repairs on light duty vehicles (less than 1 ton) in an automotive shop facility. Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of light duty vehicles. Ability to adhere to all safety rules, policies, and regulations, and the ability to maintain a safe work environment. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with changing priorities and situations. Ability to use computer programs and comfortable using technology including iPhone and iPad. Ability to accurately communicate instructions and work orders verbally and in writing. Must also be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently at times, assuring repair decisions are made utilizing appropriate experience and tasks are completed and in a timely manner. Willingness to train and continuously educate to keep up on current methods in the industry. Vocational or technical training/certification preferred. Experience using diagnostic software is a plus. Experience working on GM/Chevrolet fleet is preferred. Minnesota Commercial Vehicle Certification, or ability to obtain. Other Requires 8-10 hour workdays, Monday through Friday Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Requires valid drivers license and ability to maintain satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Tools are not provided. Must be at least 18 years of age. Additional Job Description: Base Compensation: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour The base salary range may vary depending on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
