Tri-County Technical College Corporate and Community Education Division is seeking a collaborative, energetic, and innovative Plumbing Adjunct Instructor. The successful candidate will plan and conduct classroom instruction and hands‑on lab activities to include the introduction to the tools, materials, systems, design, installation, and service needed for a career in plumbing. The instructor will support students in building an in‑demand career with strong foundational knowledge, current technologies, and knowledge of Codes. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of relevant disciplines, including basic plumbing repair and installation, as well as knowledge of proper clothing, safety, tool use, and maintenance. They must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and expectations of students, faculty, staff, and advisory or community groups, and exhibit personal integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Job Responsibilities The adjunct instructor is responsible for course preparation, delivery, and record keeping. Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction. Enforce academic policy and procedures, and comply with institutional rules and regulations. Assume responsibility for off‑site/classroom preparation, including lab set‑up and clean‑up. The adjunct plumbing instructor is responsible for teaching plumbing courses and working with Corporate & Community Education Program Manager to plan, implement, and coordinate instruction. Physical Demands Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift, at times, 40–50 lbs. Good eye/hand dexterity. Qualifications Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of on‑the‑job experience or a combination of training and experience. Must be a licensed plumbing contractor and possess at least 5 years of working and/or teaching experience in plumbing.
