Purchasing Specialist

Express Employment has an immediate need for a Purchasing Admin for the city of Ontario CA Pay Rate : $24.00hr We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to support sourcing and procurement activities. This role works closely with the sales and internal teams to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure materials and services meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Key Responsibilities Research and identify reliable suppliers to support sales and operational needs. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery reliability . Negotiate pricing and contracts to secure favorable business terms. Communicate effectively with sales, operations, and other departments to ensure purchasing needs are met. Track purchasing activity and maintain accurate records and documentation. Ensure timely procurement while supporting organizational priorities. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and strong follow-through. Excellent communication skills across departments and with suppliers. Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
