Payroll Processing CoordinatorLocation: Omaha, NE, USPosition Overview: We are adding a Payroll Processing Coordinator to our high performing payroll team. In this role, you will support the processing of US and Canada payroll including, but not limited to, processing weekly payroll, administering off-cycles, stop payment requests, direct deposit reversals, and interacting with field personnel to provide the highest level of customer service. The Payroll Processing Coordinator position is part of the Kiewit Business Services Payroll Processing department. This is a critical position in our payroll group. You can expect to work in a fast paced, high volume, transactional environment, supporting all of Kiewit employees.Responsibilities:Process weekly payrolls (Monday evenings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons)Perform pay card administration, paycheck and direct deposit reversals, direct deposit rejection research and processing, handle stop payment requestsHandle Off-cycle processing of checks such as severance pay, leave and military pay, settlementsValidate direct deposit files to bankCreate journal entries, as neededField phone calls, emails and ticketing requests from field operations, providing support and guidance using your payroll knowledgeProvide excellent customer service to all internal and external Kiewit departments; understand Kiewit's core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issuesFollow processes, procedures, and internal controlsCommunicate and collaborate with team members to achieve excellence in Payroll ProcessingWork a rotational schedule which does require overtime occasionallySupport and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvementQualifications:2+ years of office support experience in the following preferred: computer data entry, reviewing data and dealing with internal customers. Prefer Payroll experience or experience with accounting functions.Able to learn and execute accounting and payroll functionsMust have strong understanding and working knowledge of computers and proficient with MS SuiteExperience utilizing Excel with experience in some advanced functions (Xlookup, Formulas, Formatting and manipulating data)Experience with SAP or similar system preferredMust have a strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies and thoroughness in completing tasksDemonstrates initiative to jump in and get the job done, and able to work in a fast paced, high volume, transactional environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsApply discretion and maintain confidentialityAbility to analyze information and use logic and reasoning to solve problems, and identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsOther Requirements:Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectivelyUnderstand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policiesWork during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlinesWork overtime and weekends as requiredMay work at various different locations and conditions may vary
