At Magna Engineered Glass, you arrive to your cell with a plan: bring presses online, verify every sub-system is ready, and keep production humming. Water circuits are balanced, materials are dried and staged, heaters are stabilized, and robots are homed. You fine-tune the injection molding process so new and existing products hit quality targets, and you shave seconds from cycle times while avoiding downtime from change-overs, setups, and tooling transitions.

What your shift looks like

• Start up and shut down plastic injection molding machines; confirm water, materials, heaters, robots, and related sub-systems are fully operational.
• Debug and troubleshoot molding processes for existing and new parts to continuously improve yield and part quality.
• Reduce downtime tied to die changes and process setups by planning and executing efficient change-overs.
• Respond quickly to production team concerns and remove roadblocks to keep lines running.
• Record process changes and adjustments accurately for traceability and learning.
• Develop and refine molding processes for upcoming programs.
• Set up and optimize end-of-arm tooling (EOAT); diagnose issues and drive continuous EOAT improvements.
• Handle hazardous waste responsibly and in accordance with procedures.
• Pitch in on cleaning and preventive maintenance activities that prevent unplanned stops.
• Engage in structured problem-solving and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as an authorized member of the facility spill response team.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.

What you bringLevel 1

• 3–5 years in a technical role within manufacturing.
• Ability to troubleshoot, update, and work on equipment and systems within your area.
• Strong interpersonal skills with clear written and spoken English communication.

Level 2

• 1–2+ years at Level 1 (or similar) or a blend of relevant education and experience.
• Proficiency in injection molding; RJG systematic molding experience preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works independently and on teams with consistent professionalism.

Level 3

• 3–5+ years at Level 2 (or similar) or a blend of relevant education and experience.
• ABB Level 1 Robot training proficiency.
• Proven collaborator with exceptional professionalism.
• Skilled in project management and analytical problem-solving.
• Capable of setting direction and operating with minimal supervision.
• Advanced injection molding skills; RJG Advanced eDART and Master Molder 1 preferred.
