Service and Delivery Technician III Safeway Retail Grocery Stores, Sacramento, CA What You Will Be Doing Provide IT technical support to Safeway stores in Sacramento and surrounding areas, including equipment deployment, hardware and software installation, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, POS systems, scales, and network servers. Main Responsibilities Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Safeway Repair all approved standard technology hardware, including PC/Server hardware, network hardware, RF hardware, and printers Provide complete recoverability of systems and applications Troubleshoot resolution of hardware and software issues Install new hardware and software Provide IT support to customers and meet service level agreement goals Provide network and remote connectivity (hardware/software) support Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies Work with Support Center (STSC) on assignment and resolution of computer system problems Coordinate with Corporate IT groups for on‑site support and technology resolutions Adhere to repair standards and service levels established Drive required for this zone service area and travel up to 50% to other cities such as Roseville and Folsom What We Are Searching For Excellent telephone, customer service, and problem‑solving skills to resolve high‑pressure issues in remote locations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present technical information tailored for customer understanding Working knowledge of IT hardware, installation models, Windows, MS Office, and related applications Ability to work independently and as a strong collaborative partner in a matrixed organization Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, evening, and overnight, and on‑call support capacity Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability, and follow‑through Physical Environment Work may be performed in a temperature‑controlled environment Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time May spend long periods at a desk or computer terminal Use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during the normal workday Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required to complete job duties Workday is fast‑paced; some evening and weekend work may be required Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment and perform twisting and turning during equipment installs This company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited basis under law.
