Supply Chain AnalystThe Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role in managing global material availability and supporting a reliable, efficient supply chain for advanced automotive electronics. This role focuses on resolving supply shortages, maintaining accurate global runout data, and serving as the primary purchasing interface for global manufacturing plants. The position supports the launch and ongoing production of safety-focused electronic systems that contribute to safer, cleaner, and more connected mobility.ResponsibilitiesManage supply chain material shortages at a global level, ensuring timely resolution to support continuous production.Serve as the primary purchasing interface for all global plants for assigned programs, acting as the main point of contact for supply-related issues.Assist global sites with critical supply escalations, providing prompt support and coordination to minimize production impact.Escalate shortages within supplier leadership teams to ensure suppliers respond appropriately and deliver materials on time.Update and distribute global runout sheets by quantifying and manipulating data so it aligns with overall production and supplier requirements.Analyze runout and supply data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement in material planning and inventory management.Provide regular part shortage status updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of risks, priorities, and recovery plans.Support escalation requests for on-time sample builds to meet program launch requirements and customer deadlines.Participate in purchasing and operations meetings, contributing supply chain insights and status updates for assigned programs.Support analysis of new trends in the market and technology that may impact supply chain strategies or sourcing decisions.Maintain productive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers to support long-term collaboration and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to address supply chain challenges and support global operations.Work flexibly outside of normal working hours when needed to support other regions and urgent supply escalations.Handle multiple assignments concurrently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to suppliers, programs, and internal operations.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Operations, or a related field within a manufacturing facility.Hands-on experience in supply chain, supply chain management, and material planning within a production environment.Proficiency in procurement activities, including purchase order management and supplier coordination.Experience with logistics, inventory, and inventory management in a manufacturing context.Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to quantify and manipulate data for reporting and decision-making.Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables, for reporting and analysis.Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for supply chain and purchasing activities.Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite for communication, documentation, and reporting.Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced global environment.Strong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, communicate, and build capabilities in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.Strong written and oral communication skills for representing technical and supply chain topics internally and externally.Ability to multitask and handle diverse assignments concurrently.Demonstrated ability to make sound, timely decisions in a dynamic environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and supplier information.Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a multifaceted environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsRelevant experience within automotive electronics is preferred, particularly in a Tier 1 manufacturing environment.Prior experience supporting program launches and sample builds in a manufacturing setting.Experience maintaining and improving supplier relationships to support long-term collaboration.Exposure to active safety technologies, ADAS systems, or electronic components is an asset.Demonstrated ability to represent technical and supply chain topics to internal stakeholders and external partners.Experience working with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.Interest in market and technology trends that influence supply chain and sourcing strategies.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement in supply chain processes.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Holly, MI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
