Are you a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist seeking an extraordinary career opportunity at a state-of-the-art healthcare facility? Houston Physicians Hospital is currently seeking to hire a PRN Pharmacist! Responsibilities Provides prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices. Provides appropriate pharmaceutical care to patients both in the outpatient clinic as well as the main facility; may include patient medication counseling prior to admission or discharge. Maintains continuing education to provide evidence based pharmaceutical care for all patients, including pharmacokinetic and pharmacotherapy services. Initiates and/or participates in department process improvement as determined by the Director of Pharmacy. Has a working knowledge of department processes in order to facilitate technical and clinical problem resolution. Oversees tasks of pharmacy technicians on a daily basis. Creates and maintains good working relationships with staff and vendors at the main facility as well as the outpatient facility. Provides on call pharmacy services as determined by the Director of Pharmacy. Manages and completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) with a minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree. Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred. Some Hospital Pharmacy work experience preferred. Post-graduate Hospital pharmacy residency preferred. Licensure in good standing as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice. Proficient computer skills using Pharmacy systems and Microsoft applications. Through training and/or experience, possess necessary knowledge to provide oversight of medication regimens for the patient populations treated in the facility including a knowledge of dosing for specific age populations.
