Overview NextCare is seeking a Radiology Technologist (RT) / Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) to join our urgent care team. What We Are Looking For NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) who thrives in a fast-paced setting and works well in a team. Responsibilities Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in NextCare Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with state Radiation Rules and Regulations. Assists providers with exams (including patient vitals), procedures and other direct patient care under the supervision of the Provider and within the scope of practice. Administers all forms of medications per policy and under Provider direction, adhering to safety protocols for medication administration. May be responsible for urine collection for various tests, including employer drug screens. May perform splinting and casting. Conducts various physicals such as sports physicals. Performs other related duties specific to urgent care. Notifies the provider on duty promptly of any unusual patient occurrences including medication events on incident reports. Notifies the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns. Follows guidelines and requirements of laboratory and clinical accreditation policies. Must be proficient in EMR/EHR. Performs other related duties as assigned or described by company policy. How You Will Make An Impact The Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) supports the organization with customer service and treats all patients with respect and dignity. You will provide patient care services in the back office urgent care setting to meet specific patient needs. Essential Education, Experience And Skills Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent experience. License: Certified Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR). Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety.
