Overview
Registered Nurse, Telemetry (TEL) travel assignment in Olathe, KS. Start date 08/16/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,968–$2,119 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3×12-hour Nights (1900–0730). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a Telemetry/Cardiac unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, including continuous cardiac monitoring, rhythm assessment, and rapid response to alarms.
- Administer prescribed medications and cardiac drips per protocol, monitor hemodynamics, and adjust care as directed.
- Manage post-procedure TR Band usage and assist with initiation or titration of cardiac medications such as Tikosyn/Sotalol as indicated.
- Interpret rhythm strips, identify changes in patient status, communicate with the care team, and document interventions in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans, perform patient and family education, and support safe, effective transitions of care.
- Float to other acute care units as needed with unit-specific orientation; maintain safety, infection control, and accurate handoffs during shift changes.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience; 2–5 years preferred
- Experience with post-procedure TR Band management, cardiac drips (e.g., Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem), and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; weekend rotation every other week; ability to float to all acute care units as assigned
- Credentialing requirements: CBC, DS, and related labs must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- EPIC EMR experience or training; orientation and onboarding will include EPIC and unit-specific training

- Cancellations: The client may cancel one shift per 2-week pay period at no cost to the client and no pay to the employee, with a minimum 2-hour notice; cancellations are recorded in the scheduling system
