EquipmentShare is Hiring a Culinary Assistant EquipmentShare is searching for a Culinary Assistant for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. Primary Responsibilities Work directly with the ES Culinary Team and the Executive Chef to learn about basic gardening, proper culinary technique, and a variety of culinary projects. Help and prepare Monday - Friday breakfasts and lunches. Work with ES Culinary Team to put out weekly parties for meetings and special events that are hosted. Assist in inventory control, learning ordering and uses. Help with stocking of all snack, coffee and drinks for staff. Help plan weekly menus. Assist with any No Child Hungry projects and Disaster Relief Projects. Assist with clean up and special detailing projects. Why We’re a Better Place to Work Competitive salary. Skills & Qualifications Have a desire to pursue culinary arts or have a strong desire to work in the culinary field. Basic knife skills and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment or willing to learn. Gardening skills are a plus - have to be willing to learn garden to plate. Must be willing to multitask and be ready to get challenged by the job. Be able to take direction and feedback. You have a strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
