Senior Operations Business AnalystGolden Pass LNG, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has the mission to become the premier LNG export company in North America by bringing clean energy from Texas to power the world. Headquartered in Downtown Houston, Golden Pass LNG commenced operation of Train 1 in 2026 and continues to progress construction and commissioning on Trains 2 and 3. Once fully operational, Golden Pass LNG will have the capacity to produce over 18 million metric tons of LNG per year.The Senior Operations Business Analyst will have responsibility for the Operations Applications for Golden Pass LNG. This role is for a Sr. Operations Business Analyst to work within a cross-functional team – primarily support for Operations Applications such as Aveva PI, Hexagon J5, and Enablon. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate, advise all levels of business users and solve complex business problems/ requirements within our system implementation.Essential Duties / FunctionsCandidate must have good knowledge of Operations and Operations ApplicationsMust maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing statusDesign and providing feasible solution options to tackle business issues and support business growth in the systemEffective stakeholder relationship management between Operations and ITTechnical brainstorming on best approaches to tackle changes in the systemL2/3 support for existing production softwareConsult with business analysts & subject matter experts to determine requirements and functional specificationsContribute ideas to the evolution of the system architectureCandidate must have a good understanding of agile delivery methodology and experience working in a global team. Candidate must be able to effectively manage tasks assigned, timelines and progress reporting on the tasks.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experienceMinimum experience required of the positionMinimum 8 years of experience as a business or technical analyst or supporting Operations Applications and Plant Operations. LNG experience is a plusExperience supporting and working with operations IT team providing technical or business expertise and assisting in technical designs for operations systems or experience utilizing multiple operations applications in a power user role.Experience working with teams to drive and influence IT strategies by taking initiative, engaging business stakeholders and management, expressing ideas and challenging the status quo across management, business and functionsMinimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.Experience in Natural Gas and LNG with strong business acumen and knowledge of Operations, Permit to Work, Data Historians, Operator Rounds, Management of Change, and Health & Safety applications.Ability to quickly understand a complex Gas and LNG value chain system architecture and matrix of across the organizations and businesses; and their interrelationships/dependencies.Ability to understand Operations activities and how to best enable mobile solutions to Operations Applications.Required job competencies of the position.Proven track record in working with a dynamic team to manage multiple concurrent projects, operations and budgetsWillingness and ability to lead or follow to achieve IT solutions to business objectiveStrategic thinking skills with ability to visualize the big picture and manage tactical details as requiredExcellent communication skills with ability to serve as effective liaison between business users and IT with ability to explain technical solutions to a non-technical audienceLeadership skills to drive business change, engage stakeholders and managed service providersNo specific certifications requiredNormal office environment (full-time onsite)No special physical requirementsNot all aspects of the job are covered by the description – may require "other duties as assigned"Job may change over time in accordance with business needsJob description does not guarantee employment
