Drywall Repair Technician

The Patch Boys of St. Louis is looking to add a full-time multi-skilled drywall repair technician. Our business is growing, and we are seeking experienced drywall repair, patching, and finishing technicians to join our team. This position requires creative thought and problem-solving on a daily basis and an ability to work effectively and efficiently without supervision. Although we pride ourselves in top-quality work, a start-to-finish control of your own worksite and customer service (including cleanliness and foot traffic, protection of customer property, etc.) is absolutely mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ability to texture and finish drywall and plaster services
• Ability and willingness to work on both new and existing walls and ceilings
• Ability to determine and identify proper materials and quantities for projects.
• Evaluate customer requests, troubleshoot customer issues and present a description of work to a customer.
• Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into a specified position
• Measure, mark and cut materials, taking into account framing, drywall, and trim
• Install insulation in-between studs and attach a plastic moisture barrier over the installation, as required
• Remove old/damaged plaster, drywall, or paneling, as required

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years proven experience in hanging, installing, patching, repairing, and finishing drywall including texture matching (with references).
• Your own hand tools and knives.
• Must own a smartphone with a data plan
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Compensation: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
