Full Time, Monday-Thursday 9:00am-7:00pm Starting rate $22/hour Position is onsite at our Florida Campus Duties and Responsibilities: Meets with patients and their families and ensures admission is completed by following checklists for accuracy while displaying empathy, dignity and respect to the patient and their families. Upon meeting with patients, ensures that accurate documentation is completed including demographic reportable data, HIPAA, financial and billing documents, referral documentation, etc. Responsible for all financial follow-up- treatment payment, pharmacy set up, labs, and any identified follow up Welcomes patients and families, utilizing customer service skills learned through internal and external trainings. Responsible for all admission, discharge, transfers for the Caron continuum in Sigmund and bed boards. Timely completion of weekly outcome surveys. Accurately identifies all key stakeholders, i.e., referrals, donors, alumni and reviews all information gathered during the phone assessment. Documents treatment plans, progress notes, treatment plan updates, case consultations, telephone calls and discharge summaries in patient records in accordance with Caron policies and procedures Communicates effectively with patients, family members, referents, and internal customers- coworkers, leadership, neighboring department. May be responsible for covering the receptionist desk, Cisco console, and pertinent operator duties as needed. Full understanding of Breakthrough continuum and ability to identify appropriate program - 5-day, couples, Breakthrough II, Recovery Refresh, VHTC. Completes Breakthrough workshop assessment and financial screening and schedules patients for attendance at the workshop. Identifies Breakthrough patients who need clinical screening prior to admission and sends to Breakthrough Clinical team for review. Educates all Breakthrough callers and utilizes all financial options to fund their treatment investment to convert to an admission. Manages all pending Breakthrough cases and completes follow-up as a team from initial contact to scheduling. This job description reflects the management’s assignment of essential functions. Education / Experience Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required One year of computer experience– Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, or similar software 1-year work experience in an office, preferably a healthcare setting Knowledge of drug & alcohol treatment or disease concept of addiction or 12 steps or knowledge of Al-anon helpful If in recovery, a minimum of two years’ sobriety is preferred.
