A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.The Associate role is an integral part of the Digital Infrastructure Investment Banking team within the Global Corporate & Investment Banking group, focused on the Digital Infrastructure subsector.As an Associate, you’ll support senior team members in managing major client relationships and prospects, contributing to both business origination and deal execution. The role involves generating opportunities across investment banking and traditional credit products, aligned with a defined business strategy and client needs.Responsibilities:Assist Digital Infrastructure banking team in expanding MUFG’s presence across the digital infrastructure space in lending, M&A finance, advisory, structured finance and capital marketsManage & monitor the execution of operational aspects of business origination, such as analyzing portfolio profitability, performing all follow-through of any deal origination and execution process, preparing economic capital analysis and managing customer intensive processesLiaise with Product and Sponsor coverage Groups to assist in structuring and execution of dealsPrimary contact for Global Network and management of Global Exposure ReportsMaintain proactive, in depth, and up-to-the-minute knowledge of market trends, customer developments and credit issues including regularly maintaining industry trading and transaction compsConduct due diligence on proposed client deals as requiredAssist Digital Infrastructure team with establishing and / or enhancing various internal policies and guidelines to support the ongoing developments within the digital infrastructure sector Essential functions and coverage:Execution of operational duties with regard to business origination process and deal execution including modeling, loan documentation, problem solving, transaction follow-through, market research, internal/external communicationsLiaison with Overseas Branches / Product Offices / PlanningPreparation of value-added information for marketing materials/customer researchSkills & Experience:A Bachelor’s degreeCorporate and Investment Banking experience with a minimum of 3 yearsCredit experience ideally within a product group (product experience can include leveraged finance, project finance or structured finance)Experience in conducting valuation analyses (DCF, Trading and transaction comps)Strong business and interpersonal skillsMarketing experience preferredFinancial modeling skills, Excel, Word & PowerPoint experienceCredit training preferredThe typical base pay range for this role is between $145K - $155K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
