Location NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY Position Title Phlebotomist Technician – Full Time (Hudson Valley) Schedule Full time from 2:00pm-10:00pm with alternating weekends. Overview Committed to care, our Laboratory Technician I can enter a room and bring comfort, calm, and compassion. Join a team of Phlebotomists in a fast‑paced hospital, outpatient laboratory, and skilled nursing facilities drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures. Preferred Criteria Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma to patients. Must be able to function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work. Possess effective communication and organizational skills. Possess computer skills appropriate for the position. Some laboratory training and EKG experience preferred. Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association. Experience and expertise in venipuncture technique preferred. Required Criteria High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of principles of infection control and normal anatomy. Customer service skills. Additional Requirements All roles require on‑site presence; all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
