Senior Accountant – Audit & Assurance A growing Seattle CPA firm is looking for someonewith public accounting experience to join its team. This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a variety of accounting and financial statement engagements, with opportunities to work closely with experienced CPAs and firm leadership. What You'll Do Prepare and assist with financial statement engagements for a variety of clients. Work on compilations and review engagements from start to finish. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP. Assist with audit engagements as needed. Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve accounting questions. Prepare and review workpapers and engagement documentation. Research accounting issues and assist with financial reporting matters. Work closely with Managers and Partners on client engagements. Assist with reviewing work prepared by Staff Accountants. Help identify opportunities to improve client processes and accounting procedures. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of public accounting experience . Experience with financial statement preparation . Experience performing reviews and/or compilations . Strong understanding of GAAP . Experience working directly with clients. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA or CPA eligibility preferred , but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines. Ideal Background The ideal candidate will come from a public accounting/CPA firm environment and have experience beyond traditional bookkeeping or tax work. Someone who has worked on a combination of reviews, compilations, audits, and financial statement preparation would be a particularly strong fit. Why This Role?
