Head of Technology - Therapeutic Areas (TAs) & External Scientific Innovation (ESI)

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Director to lead technology strategy and operations for therapeutic areas (Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience) and external scientific innovation. The role partners with data science and AI organizations to build an automated, data-centric R&D ecosystem across multiple U.S. and international locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead technology strategy, architecture, delivery and operations for therapeutic areas and external innovation portfolio
- Establish partnerships with Data, Data Science and AI organization to align technology roadmaps with scientific priorities
- Develop multi-year technology and AI profiles spanning disease understanding through clinical trial execution
- Manage lifecycle, service levels, security and compliance for in-scope platforms and systems
- Report on progress, value, risk and resource needs; represent technology agenda to senior leadership
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience managing cross-functional technology teams and matrixed organizations
- Deep expertise in R&D technology strategy, platforms, and enterprise systems
- Proven ability to partner with data science, AI/ML, and clinical technology functions
- Experience translating scientific workflows into scalable technology solutions
- Knowledge of FAIR data principles, regulatory compliance, and information security
- Track record in product, portfolio, and Agile delivery methodologies
- Strategic thinking in therapeutic areas or life sciences innovation
