Registered Nurse (RN) Triage - OB/GYN Clinic (Park Ridge)

Job Overview Registered Nurse position in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Advocate Medical Group (AMG), Park Ridge, Illinois. This is a full‑time role supporting obstetric and gynecologic care on the unit located at 1875 Dempster Street, POB. Schedule & Hours 40 hours per week. 5 days × 8‑hour shifts (8:30 am – 5:00 pm) or 4 days × 10‑hour shifts (7:00 am – 5:30 pm) with one rotating day off per week. Pay Hourly rate: $35.50 – $53.25, based on qualifications and experience. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience preferred. Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication to create a safe patient environment and enhance patient experience. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated obstetric and gynecological services. Lead efforts to maintain a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience across the continuum of care. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must be able to push/pull with 30 lb. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lb. with a second person present. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions. Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines. Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de‑escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease; protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical abilities testing may be required.
