Heat Treat Operator IOur client, manufacturing is seeking a Heat Treat Operator I to join their team. As a Heat Treat Operator I, you will be part of the production team supporting heat treating operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a hands-on mindset, and the drive to learn and follow detailed work instructions which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Heat Treat Operator ILocation: 900 Watson Center Road, Carson, CA 90745Pay Range: $22Shift: 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 2pm-11:30pm)What's the Job?Under guidance, batch loads for optimum furnace productivity and prepare loads for proper heat distribution.Set thermal couple parameters, place work pieces into heating furnaces for specified periods, and unload furnaces.Support heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys to help ensure consistent results.Perform hardness testing using calibrated hardness testing equipment and interpret hardness ratings using measuring tools and standards.Maintain a safe, organized workstation and follow all company procedures, safety practices, and work instructions.What's Needed?High School diploma or GED required.1 to 3 years of relative manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and be comfortable with a physically demanding role that includes standing for long periods.Ability to work in hot heat environments (over 100 degrees) and follow additional break procedures provided.Must be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards.What's in it for me?Training provided, including hands-on guidance under an operator.Clear, process-driven work focused on heat treat scheduling and furnace control accuracy.Opportunity to build practical skills in heat treating for aluminum, titanium, nickel-based alloys, stainless, and alloy steels.Work in a structured environment with Mon-Fri scheduling on 2nd shift.Contract-only role with onsite interview required.Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability Insurance401(k)If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
