Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer We currently seek a high‑caliber Structural Engineer for a direct hire position within our client’s team of experienced professionals in Newport Beach, California. Job Overview Our client is a mid‑level to senior‑level candidate in Structural Engineering with a minimum of seven to ten years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures for both new and existing construction within the Orange County office. Job Duties Perform and may oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects. Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors to provide well‑coordinated, high‑quality structural drawings. May lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs. Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design. Show interest and ability to advance to a senior engineer or project manager position. Preferred Qualifications B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering required. Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred. Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the structural design of buildings or similar structures. Experience in DSA and/or HCAI projects preferred. Skills & Abilities Experience with computer analysis software systems. Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills. Comfortable consulting architectural practices. Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients. Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities. Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.
