Staff Accountant

Our client is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team in Wareham, MA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals, contribute to important accounting processes, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $55,000-70,000 annually* *Listed not guaranteed – potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications, and internal equity and may be outside of this range. This is an onsite position, with hybrid flexibility available after 6-12 months. Responsibilities: Prepare and review daily cash activity and financial records. Perform account and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and post month-end and year-end journal entries. Support accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reporting. Assist with annual audits and related documentation. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records. Research and respond to accounting and financial inquiries. Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting needs. Support cash management and banking activities. Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed. Qualifications: 1 to 3 years of professional accounting experience within a corporate setting. Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (preferred). Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
