Data Governance Architect

Job Description: Arka Innovate is seeking an experienced Data Governance Architect with 12+ years of experience to design, establish, and manage robust data governance frameworks for our Databricks-based platform. The successful candidate will ensure data quality, security, and stewardship across business processes, leveraging Microsoft Purview as the primary governance tool. Key Responsibilities Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks aligned with business and compliance requirements. Data Stewardship: Define roles, responsibilities, and processes to ensure data integrity and high quality across the organization. Data Quality: Establish and maintain data quality metrics and rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets. Data Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and enforce secure access to data. Microsoft Purview Expertise: Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage tracking, and governance workflows to enhance data transparency and trust. Policy Development: Create, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business, IT, and data teams to embed governance practices into operational and strategic processes. Key Skills and Qualifications Experience: 10-12 years in data governance, data quality, and security, with a strong focus on cloud-based platforms such as Databricks. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and data quality management principles. Stewardship Leadership: Proven experience in defining and managing data stewardship programs. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, and data modeling.
