Associate Attorney

Role Description The Associate Attorney will work full time in a hybrid capacity, with primary responsibilities in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and the option to perform some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents, and providing legal advice under supervision in employment law, personal injury, and business litigation matters. The role involves participating in client meetings, conducting fact investigations and discovery, preparing for hearings and depositions, and assisting with settlement negotiations and trial preparation. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with senior attorneys and staff, manage assigned case files, and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and procedural rules. Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, including workplace rights, discrimination, and wrongful termination matters. Experience providing Legal Advice, with sound judgment and clear, client-focused communication. Advanced Research skills, including legal research using electronic databases and factual investigations. Effective Negotiation skills, with the ability to support settlement discussions and advocate for client interests. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission, or eligibility for admission, to practice law in Michigan. Strong written and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines. Commitment to professional ethics, client service, and working collaboratively in a small firm environment. Experience in personal injury, employment law, or business litigation is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
