- # RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Cardiology (South County) HybridApply: Hybrid: South County - St. Louis, MO: Full time: Posted Today: JR97673# **Location**SAINT LOUIS, MO 63129# **Scheduled Hours**40# **Position Summary**The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will work closely with 1-3 Providers in Outpatient Cardiology Practice Clinics. They are the mediator between the patient and physician. Providers rely on clinical nurse coordinator to convey important information to them about our patients and alert them to critical issues in a timely manner. Clinic Locations: CAM, South County, West County. Hours: Monday through Friday, generally about 8am-5pm. Our phones shut off at 4:30. No Weekends, No Nights, No Holidays. Hybrid Schedule: Our Nurse Coordinators attends clinics with their Providers and if no clinic, they are able to work remotely, from home, once deemed ready, following completion of orientation/training. Potential for 1 day a week work from home.# **Job Description****Primary Duties & Responsibilities:*** Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.* Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, conveys findings to physician, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments and assists with referrals to outside sources.* Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.* Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.* Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources. **Working Conditions:**Job Location/Working Conditions* Normal office environment* Exposure to blood-borne pathogens* Requires protective devices* Patient care setting* Direct patient care setting Physical Effort* Typically sitting at desk or table* Typically standing or walking* Typically bending, crouching, stooping* Occasional lifting (25 lbs or less) Equipment* Office equipment* Clinical/diagnostic equipmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification. More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role.Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration**Work Experience:**Nursing (2 Years)**Skills:**Not Applicable**Driver's License:**A driver's license is not required for this position.# **More About This Job****Required Qualifications:*** Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.* Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.* Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment.
