This role oversees Safety Associates, monitors facility safety and security operations, responds to operational concerns, supports emergency response efforts, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Safety Services Supervisor plays a key role in creating a safe, professional, trauma-informed environment that supports both member recovery and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who: Enjoys leading teams and creating safe, organized environments Thrives in fast-paced settings where sound judgment and quick decision-making are essential Has experience in safety, security, emergency response, corrections, or related fields Values professionalism, accountability, and teamwork Is passionate about supporting member safety while maintaining dignity and respect Wants to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven organization ________________________________________ What You’ll Be Responsible For Leading daily Safety Services operations and ensuring safety procedures are followed consistently Supervising, coaching, mentoring, and developing Safety Associates and assigned personnel Monitoring facility grounds, common areas, inspections, patrols, and safety-related activities Responding to incidents, emergencies, behavioral concerns, and operational issues Reviewing incident reports, documentation, investigations, and follow-up actionsSupporting workplace safety initiatives, training programs, emergency preparedness efforts, and risk reduction strategies Collaborating with clinical, admissions, facilities, transportation, and operational teams Promoting a safe, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment for all members and staff ________________________________________ What Success Looks Like Safety operations are efficient, consistent, and aligned with organizational expectations Facility safety concerns are identified and addressed proactively Staff are engaged, accountable, and performing at a high level Incidents, investigations, and safety documentation are handled accurately and timely Members, staff, and visitors experience a secure and supportive environment Department goals, quality standards, and operational KPIs are achieved ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Behavioral Health, Business, or a related field preferred) Minimum two years of supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience (plus three or more years of safety, security, corrections, military, emergency response, or related experience preferred) Strong communication, leadership, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills Ability to supervise staff, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in dynamic situations Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems Ability to navigate facilities, grounds, and operational environments effectively Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, recovery, or reentry settings preferred Experience conducting investigations, incident management, or risk-management activities preferred Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification preferred ________________________________________ Environment + Physical Demands This position operates within behavioral health, residential treatment, healthcare, office, and community-based environments. Ability to supervise staff, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in dynamic situations. 2 years: Supervisory, leadership, or team-lead experience. Proficiency with computer systems and software, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Team), internet-based tools, and electronic documentation systems or Electronic Health Records (EHR). Preferred: 3 years: Safety, security, corrections, military, emergency response, or related experience. Previous security, safety services, emergency response, corrections, law enforcement, military, healthcare security, or related experience. Experience working in behavioral health, residential treatment, recovery, reentry, or healthcare environments. Experience conducting investigations, incident management, or risk-management activities. Lived experience in recovery and willingness to utilize recovery experience appropriately in support of members. Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification.
